Are you a man dedicated to forming yourself in the Faith and growing in virtue? Are you seeking to make a life of virtue the very heart of who you are? Do you look to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as an example of what your heart strives for? The Knights of Columbus has launched its Order-wide Cor Initiative to aid men in accomplishing this goal.
Cor, which is the Latin root word for heart, is the name chosen for this initiative to form men. It has been chosen because the goal of Cor is that men will take the formation offered and make it the very heart of who they are. Cor involves a monthly gathering of approximately an hour that is open to all men and focuses on prayer, formation, and fraternity. Prayer can consist of a Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Lectio Divina, or many other options. Formation can consist of any material that focuses on helping men become better Catholic men, such as “Into the Breach” or books on St. Joseph. Fraternity can focus on spending time building relationships with the other men participating and getting to know them better through conversation, games, or other fun activities. The world is in need of well-formed men and Cor is here to provide such formation.
At Holy Rosary, the Knights of Columbus are coordinating this initiative and meet on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Fireplace Room of Aquinas Hall. All men are invited. Join the Flocknote group for updates!
